M CITI SUITES CEBU: A Hotel Review

at the Mactan International Airport

It’s been quite some time since I set foot in Cebu – 30 years to be exact, so I don’t really remember the wheres and whats of the place.

Arriving in the Queen of the South, we braved the Monday traffic from the Mactan Airport to the town central, which is Fuente Osmena and showed up for our hotel reservations at M Citi Suites.

High ranking in the Agoda Website due to it’s reasonable rates and great location, I was a bit worried as to what clientele this establishment attracted.

My worries were all for naught. M Citi Suites is a modern, low budget , fairly new hotel that had most of the basic amenities.

calling dibs on the bed
Our room was small but big enough for 2 double beds. It had lots of surfaces to put your stuff on, and enough closet space to make sure you don’t look like your living off a suitcase. The pillows were foam but firm enough, the comforter, cozy and everything else, clean. No windows though, and no wi fi. A lan connection is available though.

A personal fridge may be found under the mini bar too. The air conditioner worked like a dream, as well as the cable tv . The phone system in room worked well too (you'd be surprised as to how many hotel have no phones or intercoms available).

though small, the bathroom was new, clean and had everything we needed
With regards to the bathroom, it’s hot and cold shower and extremely clean surroundings were a big plus. No hairdryer though, but they did provide soap and shampoo (which was all the toiletries given).

utilitarian furnishings make me, the person who can't stand living from a suitcase, happy :)
The establishment also boasts of having their on restaurant, the Mmm CafĂ©. Food from the free breakfast was, at best, mediocre. Order the corned beef, and you can’t go wrong :D There’s free wi fi there too and the staff is all around friendly and quite helpful.

Getting around and finding what you need isn’t difficult too. It’s a five minute walk to get to the nearest Robinson’s Mall and less to go to your favorite fast food establishment.

Overall, it was good night’s rest in M Citi Suites. It was the perfect transient place or us as we headed out the next day to the province of Santander, but that’s another tale for another time.

From TMW, may all your wanderings be better than ours!

  1. Great hotel in Cebu but this hotel is not that affordable to anyone.. If you do have budget we believe staying into a luxurious hotel like this is fine.
